Embedded is a virtual platform where you can purchase contemporary art editions in an approachable environment. Where the complicated, the distant and the cryptic are removed to encourage deeper engagement with the artists and the investigation behind their works.
The impact contemporary artists offer with their thought-provoking questions and investigative character is, more often than not, padlocked by the nature of the industry. Here, we open that door to broaden the audience and heighten critical engagement.
We feature art-editions, accompanied by snippets of either filmed, written or recorded interviews about the artistic process and the subjects underlying their works. - Works that invariably explore critical questions on contemporary culture, presented in an intimate and relatable manner. - All in a colloquial environment, offering an experience far removed from the standard one of purchasing contemporary art nowadays.
Driven by contemporary art and it´s means of instigating critical discussions- with Embedded, we bid to increase the visibility of cultural assets. Serving independent artists, curators, seasoned collectors and novice art lovers in their shared interest. We aim to offer a space for discovery, inspiration and dialogue, and hope that the thrill of purchasing an art edition rumbles within you, your living room and your personal circle.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Embedded will perpetually onboard new artists / artworks. Showcasing primarily emerging artists with art-editions (ranging from 80€ to 3000€),
All works will invariably be tagged as #available or #ondemand. To support artistic investigation, Embedded will only ever feature editions artists are primarily working on and never digress for a commission. Thus - for those #ondemand, the edition will only be reproduced once purchased. In order to sustain artistic practice, counter immediacy and reduce environmental impact, the delivery time can vary from 4-8 weeks, according to the production time needed for each piece.
